Investment Screening & Due Diligence.

We evaluate opportunities with a structured commercial, business, impact and investment analysis, with a clear recommendation for each company.

Who it is for
Venture capital funds, CVC, family offices, impact funds, organized angel networks and investment vehicles with more opportunities than analysis capacity.

Line 02 / 04

Each company ends with one of four recommendations, with its reasons and a presentation ready for the committee.

Investors & ecosystem

How we think

A flexible extension of your investment team: analytical capacity in periods of high activity, without adding permanent headcount.

The problem

As the pipeline grows, your team becomes the bottleneck.

Every company requires hours of analysis, decisions get delayed and good opportunities go to another investor. Hiring more permanent analysts for a spike in activity does not always make sense.

We work as part of your front office: we analyze each company with the same framework and a clear recommendation, and your committee decides.

What we do

Eight blocks of analysis.

The same eight blocks for every company, calibrated to your fund's thesis and thresholds.

Founding team

Complementarity, sector experience, commitment, key-person risk and talent gaps.

Product, technology and IP

TRL, technical milestones, roadmap, scalability, patents and freedom to operate.

Market and competition

TAM, SAM and SOM and how reasonable they are, bottom-up analysis, adoption drivers, substitutes and regulation.

Model and traction

Monetization, pilots, LOIs, recurrence, churn, CAC/LTV and product-market fit.

Finance and unit economics

Revenue quality, burn, runway, capital efficiency, projections and scenarios.

Round, valuation and cap table

Instrument and terms, valuation, fully diluted, SAFEs, ESOP and dilution.

Capital needs

Use of the ticket, post-round runway, milestones the round covers and financing risk.

Investment case

Thesis, return drivers, 3 to 5 material risks and conditions.

Final recommendation

One clear answer per company.

Each analysis ends with a presentation for the investment committee (Investment Committee Deck) and one of four recommendations.

Process

Five steps per company.

1

Setup and calibration

The fund's criteria and thesis, templates and thresholds.

2

Intake and diagnosis

Receiving the information and a first read of the risks.

3

Due diligence

Analysis of the eight blocks, with questions to the company.

4

Synthesis

A 12 to 18 slide Investment Committee Deck and a final recommendation.

5

Pipeline consolidation

A comparison matrix of every company analyzed.

Who it is for

Who it is for and who it is not.

It is for you if…

  • Your committee has more companies to review than time to review them.
  • You are entering a sector or country where your team has no prior experience.
  • You need comparable analysis across many companies from the same program or call.
  • You want an independent second opinion before investing.
  • You also need to assess the impact of the investment, not just the return.

It is not for you if…

  • You are a startup preparing for due diligence: see investment readiness.
  • You need a formal legal or accounting audit.

Duration

It depends on the information available and your committee's format; we agree on it during setup.

How we work together

What we need and how we measure.

What we need from you

  • Your thesis, investment criteria and committee format.
  • Access to each company's information: data room, model and materials.
  • A contact on the investment team.
  • A signed NDA with the fund and, where applicable, with each company.

How we measure progress

  • Companies analyzed per period, within the agreed timeframe.
  • Quality of the recommendation: your committee has what it needs to decide without asking for more information.

What we do not do

  • We do not make the investment decision: your committee does.
  • We do not charge the company being analyzed.
  • We do not perform law firm or audit firm due diligence; we coordinate with specialists when needed.

Why us

What sets this line apart.

Calibrated to your thesis

We calibrate criteria and thresholds with your team before we analyze.

Comparable pipeline

One matrix compares every company analyzed against the same criteria.

Independence

Fees do not change with the recommendation or with what the committee decides.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask us.

How long does analyzing one company take?
It depends on the information available and your committee's format. We agree on it during setup.
Can you analyze companies outside Latin America?
Yes, when the sector and market are within our experience.
How do you handle conflicts of interest?
We disclose any actual or potential conflict before analyzing each company.
How is it contracted?
With a fee per company analyzed, with economies of scale based on volume, or a monthly retainer when the mandate covers an ongoing pipeline. The fee is independent of whether the investment is approved, so the recommendation has no incentive either way.
